Animals in Alaska (Grizzly)

Alaska is rich in many kinds of animals. Here you can find moose, otter, wolf, bald eagle, caribou, and, of course, grizzly, bear’s mammal family, subtype of North-American brown bears. But you cannot see snakes or other reptiles in Alaska, because …. It’s too cold for them here.
We’d like to say a few words about grizzly. Grizzly’s hump and different muzzle outlines distinguish them from other bears. Alaska grizzlies are grazing in lush grass and eat it a lot, especially in spring and summer. They also love salmon. At McNeil River, rich in salmon, often you can see the mother bear with their offspring. They are having a rest here and eating salmon. It is dangerous to come up to them at that moment, because they defend their cubs passionately. The remains of fish are eaten by seagulls.
Grizzlies are known to rely more on smell and sound than on sight. Cubs, imitating his mother, raised its head up, also rely upon their eyes, not nose, while smelling something. Sometimes grizzlies ruin bird’s nests. And their cubs are chasing for polar marmots.
